Sub-Zero Covers

About Sub-Zero Covers

American-made insulated backflow covers.

Sub-Zero Coversmakes heavy-duty insulated covers for backflow preventer assemblies. We don't sell fifty different product lines — we make one thing, make it in America, and ship it to plumbing contractors, fire-protection shops, water utilities, and backflow testers across the country.

Made in the USA, end to end

Every Sub-Zero Cover is cut, sewn, inspected, and packed at our American facility. No offshore fabric, no overseas assembly, no mystery supply chain — a backflow cover built by people who know what a hard winter does to a backflow preventer.

Shipped nationwide

We fulfill orders to every state in the continental U.S., plus Alaska and Canada on request. In-stock backflow covers go out same or next business day, from our warehouse to your shop or jobsite.

Built in America, not imported

Every cover is fabricated in the United States — no offshore production, no overseas assembly. When the spec needs to change — liner, seams, closures — it changes here, fast.

Engineered for sub-zero

Our covers aren't lab specimens. They're iterated on with real backflow testers in the coldest regions we sell into. If it doesn't hold up through a season, it doesn't ship.

Custom fabrication, fast

Odd assembly, retrofit, non-standard install? Send us measurements and we'll fabricate a custom backflow cover in-house — typically 3–5 business days from approved dimensions.

Built for B2B

Our customers are plumbing contractors, fire-protection companies, water utilities, backflow testers, facility managers, and the supply houses that serve them. Wholesale pricing, net terms, and a human on the phone when you call.

Our story, in a paragraph

Why a dedicated backflow cover specialist exists.

Backflow preventers are plumbing-code-required on commercial water lines, irrigation systems, fire-protection risers, and an increasing share of residential installs. In cold climates, an unprotected RPZ or DCDA will freeze, crack, and fail — and when it fails, a water main's worth of pressure has a direct line to somebody's building.

For decades, the protection market was a grab-bag of off-the-shelf insulated bags built overseas, sized roughly, shipped from a regional warehouse, and warranty-honored by a reseller three layers away from the factory. Contractors lived with covers that didn't quite fit, closures that blew open in a storm, and lead times that ran out the clock on the first hard freeze.

We built Sub-Zero Covers to be the opposite of that. One product category, fabricated in the United States, engineered specifically to fit the backflow preventers plumbing contractors actually install today. Sold direct. Shipped nationwide. Custom sizes fabricated in house in 3–5 business days. Warranty handled by the same people who stitched the cover.

Our goal is simple: be the nation's most-trusted source for insulated backflow covers — and the easiest one to buy from.
